Biomedical Sciences graduate from EPM-UNIFESP. He completed undergraduate research internships (PIBIC-CNPq and FAPESP fellow) in neuropharmacology (group of Prof. Dr. L. E. Mello) and electrophysiology of ion channels (group of Prof. Dr. M. Arcisio-Miranda). In the same group, he did his master’s (CAPES fellow) with patch-clamp studies and the membranolytic action of peptides. PhD in physiology (CNPq fellow), investigating synaptic plasticity in the visual cortex via whole-cell patch clamp in slices (group of Prof. Dr. R. de Pasquale, ICB-USP). Postdoctoral research in human psychophysics and electrophysiological recordings (FAPESP fellow; group of Prof. Dr. G. Rohenkohl, IB-USP). He currently studies cognition in non-human primates (NHPs) with in vivo electrophysiological recordings and behavioral tasks in the group of Prof. Dr. Sergio Neuenschwander (Brain Institute, UFRN).
