Adjunct Professor at UFRJ’s Physics Institute. Bachelor’s and master’s from UFMG and PhD from UFRJ, with a sandwich PhD period in Italy (2009). She completed postdoctoral fellowships at UFRJ, at IIP/UFRN, and at IQOQI (Austria) in Anton Zeilinger’s group. She was a Scientist in Residence at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a visiting professor at UMass Boston. She works in Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, focusing on foundations, entanglement, and imaging. She is an Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, serves on the editorial board of Quantum Science and Technology, and is a CNPq research productivity fellow. She was a JCNE (FAPERJ) fellow and a founding member of the Commission for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion of the Brazilian Physical Society (SBF). She is interested in the relationship between art and science and in physics education, with an emphasis on promoting equity and diversity in physics.
