Through its actions in support of frontier science, Pioneering Science seeks to identify outstanding researchers working in the fields of molecular and cellular biology, physics and mathematics of biology, or neuroscience and cognition.
Pioneering Science supports specific projects that engage with the areas of molecular and cellular biology, physics and mathematics of biology, or neuroscience and cognition, have a “maverick” spirit, and are developed in its own laboratories or in partner institutions.
For Pioneering Science, a scientific career is strengthened when a researcher gains experience abroad.
Meet researchers from IDOR and other science and technology institutions who collaborate on Pioneering Science projects.
Pioneering Science is an initiative of the D’Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR) aimed at supporting training, development, and talent attraction to produce frontier science in Brazil. Independent and non-profit, the initiative plans to invest R$500 million over ten years in promising and underexplored lines of study at the interface between biomedical and health sciences and the exact sciences.
Through partnerships, Ciência Pioneira expands its actions by connecting scientists and institutions and fostering the production of frontier science in Brazil. Learn more about our partners below.
