As a fellow of the partnership between King’s College London and Pioneer Science, I investigate the neural basis of self-blame biases in major depressive disorder (MDD) and whether these biases represent state- or trait-related features, as well as whether they can be normalized by treatment. This project is linked to a broader validation study, funded by the Medical Research Council, on neural and cognitive signatures previously identified as risk factors for recurrent MDD (“NESPRED”).
