Psychologist with a master’s and a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of São Paulo (USP) Institute of Psychology. He has also completed postdoctoral work at both Oxford University and Coventry University. He is a researcher at IDOR and the Psychiatric Institute of the USP Hospital das Clínicas. His research interests include the social psychology of religion, spirituality, religion and health, dissociation, dissociative disorders, and trance phenomena in religious contexts.
