Bachelor’s in Physics from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), where he investigated drug–DNA interactions using atomic force microscopy. He holds a master’s and a PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), with research in Raman Spectroscopy and Quantum Optics, focused on the study of quantum correlations between the Stokes and anti-Stokes components of inelastic light scattering. In 2020, he received the CAPES Thesis Prize in Physics (best thesis in the country) and an honorable mention at the UFMG Theses Award. He completed postdoctoral work at the University of Victoria (UVic), Canada, in SERS, emphasizing the quantum properties of light scattering. He is currently an Assistant Professor.
