Physicist by training, who has worked in cellular and molecular biology since the start of his academic career, always driven by interdisciplinary approaches. In Brazil, he built a solid foundation in experimental optics and worked at InCor, investigating mechanical and electrical stimuli in cardiac cells. Next, at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, he worked with microfluidics and image analysis grounded in complex-systems physics. He then carried out his master’s research at Harvard and MIT, investigating quantum phenomena in muscle stem cells. He is currently a PhD candidate at the École Polytechnique de Paris, where he develops advanced microscopy grounded in quantum electrodynamics and applies it to the study and development of cardiac organoids. In parallel, he serves as a professor of Experimental Physics in the undergraduate program at the École Polytechnique.
