PhD (University of Sussex), Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand and of the Association for Psychological Science, and researcher at Instituto D’Or de Pesquisa e Ensino (IDOR), in Brazil. His research integrates evolutionary and cross-cultural perspectives to understand culture, personality, and social behavior. He is the author of “Personality, Values, Culture: An Evolutionary Perspective” (Cambridge) and co-author of “Jeitinho Brasileiro: The Psychological Bases of a Cultural Phenomenon”. He has published more than 200 academic works and has been named among the 10 most-cited researchers in culture and psychology. He has received international research awards and is currently editor-in-chief of Current Research in Ecological and Social Psychology.
